New Delhi, February 1, 2025 – The Venu Charitable Society, in collaboration with the India International Centre, successfully hosted an engaging conference titled “Managing Diabetes for Healthy Ageing – An Integrated Approach” on Saturday, 1st February 2025. Held at Conference Room II, India International Centre, New Delhi, the event brought together leading experts to discuss innovative, multidisciplinary strategies for addressing diabetes and promoting healthy ageing.
The conference focused on integrating modern medical advancements with naturopathy and holistic practices, offering attendees practical insights into managing diabetes and enhancing the quality of life for ageing populations.

The event featured insightful presentations from an esteemed panel of speakers:
- Pr. Naval Vikram, Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean, AIIMS, provided an in-depth analysis of diabetes, emphasizing its risk factors, preventive measures, and the latest treatment advancements. His talk set the stage for understanding diabetes as a pressing global health challenge.
- Dr. AB Dey, Former HOD Geriatrics, AIIMS & Director, Venu Geriatric Institute, delivered an impactful presentation on “Healthy Ageing in the Elderly,” discussing the importance of proactive healthcare and strategies to improve physical and mental well-being among senior citizens.
- Dr. Abhishek Dagar, Senior Ophthalmologist and Retina Specialist, Venu Eye Institute, presented on “Diabetic Retinopathy,” shedding light on one of the most serious complications of diabetes. He stressed the significance of early detection and integrated care in preventing vision loss.
